Well I've been in business for a week and so far the only person wanting my services is one of my coworkers. I'm not discouraged yet, we are just coming into wedding and graduation season. But I am going to ask again, if you know of anyone getting married, having a baby, graduating, planning a party please tell them about me. I have so many fun ideas and no one to share them with. :-) I would appreciate it if you could link to my business blog from your personal blogs. The address is http://www.ahintofselfexpression.blogspot.com/ but don't feel like you have to (no pressure). ;-)
Thanks for your help and support.

Spring Snowstorms
I'm really hoping that the saying "April Showers bring May Flowers" can be modified. I am so tried of cold and snow. I'd even be happy with warm rain so that things can green up and bloom, (since I know that we really need the moisture). I'm just so excited for SPRING :-D I'm not saying that I want it to be hot and summer already but flowers and birds and sunshine sure sound nice. That's why I changed the background on my blog. I can't have spring outside yet but I can share of bit of it with you online. :-) Hopefully "March Showers will bring April Flowers."

Kitten Update
Our babies are now a week old. They are growing very, very quickly. I think they are at least twice as big as they were when they were born if not bigger. I decided that the momma would probably be okay if I took some pictures of them to share with you. She wasn't entirely happy (in fact I have a picture of her trying to take the baby away from me) but she survived and so did the babies. :-)
I tried taking the pictures on my lap but she kept trying to take them so I had to try another method. Sorry if the following pictures are a bit blurry. I had to take the picture with one hand while holding Gabby back with the other (especially if the babies were crying). I'm glad that she is such a good mom but I felt like telling her to chill. :-)
This is a picture of the black and white kitten and the smaller of the two tabbys.
This a picture of the larger tabby and one of the calico kittens. (You can't see her very well because she turned her head and is kind of blending in.)
This is the other calico kitten. Isn't she pretty? :-) I noticed last night that her tail has a little bit of color on it. Like someone dipped the tip of it into a paint bucket.
That's all for now. I'll post more pictures is a week or so. Ciao - Lydia

I finally did it!!!!
I've been toying with the idea of starting my own business for years now. I finally decided to take the plunge. I just launched a custom photo announcement business called "A Hint of Self Expression." Anyone interested can get more information at the following links:
Business website: http://sites.google.com/site/ahintofselfexpression/

Marketing for this project will be mostly word of mouth so (please) tell everyone you know. And don't forget to remember me for your next special occasion. :-D

New Arrivals
Well, Gabby finally had her babies yesterday evening. She was getting so fat that I thought she might pop, her belly was almost dragging on the floor. When I came home from work yesterday she wasn't at the door to greet me and when I found her she had 4 little wet babies and a 5th on the way. So far she has been a very good mom. She is very attentive and all of the babies seem to be well fed. I even had to move her food dishes closer to the babies because she didn't want to get that far away from them to eat. :-)
I think it is probably to early to be taking pictures of the babies (even though they are so cute I'd love to be able to show them to you). In a days I'll take a couple of pictures and publish them so that you can see our new arrivals. For now I can best describe them as warm, wiggly, furry, small eating and sleeping creatures. There are two gray/black tabby striped ones, two darker (probably calico) ones and a black and white one.
I guess that is all for now but I will keep you updated. Ciao :-)

Our New Addition!!!
Ha, Gotcha. I bet you were all hoping that I was talking about a baby, right?
Well we wish we were talking about that too, but . . . in lieu of being able to have a baby we recently adopted a cat. I finally got Matt's permission to get a furry companion a few weeks ago and started my search. His only criteria was that he wanted a "scratch-rat cat" which for us means a orange and white tabby. Although I wasn't able to find one like that we are very happy with the one we ended up with. Meet Gabby. :-)

She is such a sweet and affectionate cat. She is very curious and likes to play. She is always happy to see us and the only time we have seen her act negatively is when our neighbor's dogs are barking. She looks out the window and growls, like she'd really be able to chase them away if they were able to get in. :-)

I had to include this picture for Ang W. I thought she would like the angle and closeness of the picture. ;-)

No, she is not really that fat, she's pregnant. She should be having her babies anytime in the next few weeks. We will keep them until they can leave their mom then the Chubbuck animal shelter has promised to help us find homes for them.
Considering all that I am having to do to finish my degree this semester, she is probably all the extra responsibility that I can handle right now. But it sure is nice to have an animal around the house again. :-) For those of you who are interested I'll post pictures of her kittens when they come.

Hi All!!
I recently found these pictures on our camera from several months ago. I thought that some of you might like to have copies of some or all of them, so here they are. Enjoy!

We definitely had a white Christmas!!!
We almost couldn't celebrate with the parents or Rob and Ang's family because of all the snow. This was rather inconvenient for travel but we really needed it and it was very pretty. :-)
